Employment Program
Our employment program is an outstanding feature of Threshold and provides a structured pathway for part-time competitive employment. Explore the sections below to discover more about each opportunity!
-
Threshold’s TE program provides employment opportunities for members seeking to enter or re-enter the workforce. Threshold manages these entry-level positions for employers. Staff train alongside members and provide support as needed. Members work in these part-time entry level positions for a period of 6-9 months whereupon a new member transitions into the position.
Designed as a vocational rehabilitation program, TE helps members develop or rebuild essential job skills and confidence while maintaining employment. By engaging in meaningful employment, members gain a sense of purpose and contribute to reducing stigma surrounding mental health in the workplace.
-
Threshold’s SE program assists members in securing and maintaining jobs with community businesses and employers. These positions can be career-oriented with opportunities for advancement. Threshold’s staff provide on-site, and off-site support as needed. SE jobs offer competitive wages. The level and duration of support vary based on individual needs and job requirements, with the goal of fostering long-term employment success and eventual independence.
-
The IE program supports members when they are ready, seeking and obtaining independent employment opportunities. The Clubhouse provides ongoing support and encouragement through its facilities or community-based resources for as long as members remain employed and desire assistance. There is no on-site support at the workplace.
